Solitude.........

Do you like it or not???
Completely on my own............no visitors..........no outings.............just me at home...............I actually have no idea when i would have been on my own for this amount of time............actually I don't think I have ever had 36hours on my own in my whole life........maybe a day or 2 but not this long.............
It's been good though...........me the tv, internet and some phone calls family/friends ringing to check I am ok...........
SAL is updated
tried to work out how to mail merge a google spreadsheet doc with gmail.........gave up........
chatted online to a few people.........
still no sewing but that's ok..........
pretty sure I am over the worst of my cold..........but need a serious energy injection...........

the rose is just a pic I found from 2009 and i played with it in Picasa......
dreaming of spring.......it will be here very soon..........
Catch you later
Chookyblue.............

Solitude is a fabulous thing which seems more valuable the less you have of it! Hope you feel recharged soon. X

I've had this whole weekend to myself and I love it. Do what I want, when I want. Get more things done too. Had a friend over last night to watch a few dvds, but otherwise it was all about me, me and me!

It is good having some time on your own, pity you are not well though. Hope you get well soon.

I love to have time alone, but not always. I hope you are well soon.

Depends what type of solitude it is. Sometimes I long for it then when I have it I find myself longing for company.

What a glorious pic Chooky! Enjoy the solitude while it lasts as it doesn't seem to come very often!

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I think I love solitude, but it's hard to say...I can't think of a period longer than a couple of hours that I haven't had the kids around! Might have to try it sometime :)

36 ours to yourself, well I guess it was time..
Enjoy your free time and get well.
A good read is always welcome and slowly take a swing around sewing room and maybe you will find something to do. Or maybe just look at the birds ;-))

I love it when i can have ME time, no-one to annoy me, no-one nagging me, jut me and my thoughts and doing whatever i darn well feel lik. Sadly I don't get it very often.

Pity you've not been well enough to enjoy it a bit more, Chooky. I tend to get what i call Reverse Alone Time, whereby i have had time in hospital recovering from 2 back surgeries in 2 years... maybe when my kids are older & gone, I will get Chooky-style alone time... oh wait, I will still have mrHS here!

So glad you are feeling better and I bet the solitude was a piece of the healing process! I value a weekend like that once a year or so . . . .

Hmmm....solitude.....it's an interesting one.....working full time means I am not on my own much during the week...but on weekends I quite like to spend time on my own......which is good...because I live alone...LOL.....I think it's one of those things....if you have it you may not want it...if you don't have it....you crave it.....

I love time on my own, especially if I can stay home, shut the front door & lock the world out. I hope you get a lot more better soon. Tracee xx

I do hope you are feeling 100% soon. I love being alone...that is something I thought I would never say as I used to hate...HATE...being alone until this year. My life has had drastic changes and not ones I planned or even welcomed but I got through it and now I appreciate being alone at times and just being still. Soak it all up while you can Chooky and dont wait too long to do it again. Good Luck and well wishes.

Hope you feel better soon. I absolutely love my alone time! I love being able to do or not do anything with the quiet atmosphere of being alone brings. Sometimes we just need that time without any type of intrusion from those we love. I try to make alone time at least once a month.

I think we all need some "alone" time, I love it. Its too bad that you feel poorly but then again it is nice not to have to cook or care for anyone else. So have a cuppa and dream on your next project. Enjoy.
Cheers

I like solitude sometimes, it's a way of recuperating. But I like being with people too. A bit of both is perfect. I like your psychadelic rose picture. Get better soon, look after yourself.

Sometimes it's good to just be alone - but not for too long. I'd miss my minifamily too much. These days, being able to take a walk in solitude seem to grant me more than spending hours home alone (probably because I get to leave the "construction site" - also known as our apartment, lol).

I hope you're feeling better! Love the photos.

I am a teacher so any time that has a chance of being completely silent is bliss. To ever be on my own is paradise.........then it is back into the fray again.
I love photographing flowers my blog is full of them.
Peg tells me that it is your birthday this week.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
