There are a few flowers around the garden..........you can find some more spring glimpses here..........
working on the Foundation Paper Piecing.............slowly it is happening..........
not completely sure about the lighter background will see when I can sit more together better.......
this goes in the centre of the above..........need the teacher to tell me how to join these 4 sections........
testing a background.........
not sure.........need more together..........
I have the rest of the sections below that aren't joined ready to cut for joining.........I joined one set but ran out of time and not 100% sure on what I was doing...........
Hopefully I can get some more done tomorrow...........

  1. Foundation piecing can be a bit time intensive, but the results are wonderful. I like to use it for particularly tricky blocks - and circles certainly fit that category!

  27. I'm loving it...Mariner's Compass is right up there at the top of my list of favourites...you are making me want to do one...I have only ever made one Mariner's Compass block 4 1/2' square traditionally hand pieced to go in the centre of a miniature for a challenge project, I've never tried it the foundation piecing way...another one to add to the list of wants...

  29. Very interested in your mariner's compass, great idea of paper piecing. will have to try sometime. Love the flowers, mine have died long ago in the drought times.

  30. My head hurts just looking at that! I'd have NO idea how to do it!

  31. Purtry! Lovely block! Ya know, Ricky Tims Stable Stuff would work great for that and you do not remove the foundation. Paper piecing drives me nuts! Remove the paper creates a mess, and I do not like to clean up messes. So the foundation stuff works great for me! ;)
