melting...........

The last 3 weeks have been 35C plus.............temp wise............35C is great when the other option is 40C plus and we have had some of those..............41C is forecast for today...............
yesterday morning when I got up and went out of the air con bedroom it felt like I walked into the sauna it was so muggy and warm yesterday morning............I went off to the big town town shopping and getting in and out of the car OMG...........it was HOT..............I was so pleased to get home.........
&&&&
this morning I got up and though oh it is going to be another AWFUL day...................I wanted to get my short walk in early so off I went at "sparrow fart" I didn't get more then a few metres out the door and looked out and could just tell it was going to be a beautiful sunrise................so I rang back in and took the camera with me..............
how gorgeous is this..............
sorry this is photo heavy.............
amazing how things change in only about 15 mins.
to the west
turned straight back around to the east..........
whispy clouds.........

then I still had the camera while walking around the garden turning on the hoses................
a late agapanthus.............
why a mushroom thinks it could survive in this heat.........
one of my favourites and very hardy...........crepe myrtles...........lots of summer colour...........
lots of sap is coming out of this ironbark...........
not the clearest pic as it was a little early and dull but the bark on this tree is very very dark...........
duranta flower............with a little bonus.........

The paddocks have dried off heaps and look brown and dry.........lets hope there aren't any thunderstorms...............just rain..........
Catch you later..............

It's amazing seeing your temperatures... I heard the news saying it was one of (or the longest) heatwave you have had....

Beautiful photos - I love sunrises and sun sets. Your temperatures are . . disgusting. I always think it is so awful in Brisbane in Summer - which to my mind starts in October and finishes in March, but we dont often go above 35. But the humidity here is the killer. When I win a BIG lotto I am living in Tasmania for 6 months and Brisbane for the other 6!!
Hang in there - Winter can't be too far away!!

Photos are magnificent, Donna. We are having the weirdest summer here - hot as hell - by our standards- one day and the next cool and wet - I see them as a rest day, but lots don't! Love the fact that the nights have been quite cool because I have my own tropical warning system and don't need the weather to help that!

I love sky pictures and yours are so beautiful. You flower pictures are too. With snow and ice here it is not so pretty.

I went out walking before just before 6.30 this morning and it was almost 30C already...ok...I know it's summer ....but I think I might start looking for a job in Tassie......I lived there for a few years and LOVED that there was snow on the mountain in winter....and that we had to move the Christmas tree from in front of the fireplace on Christmas Eve one year so we could light the fire...that's my kind of summer! Great sunrise pics!

Try to stay cool. It is bad enough down here, so I can just imagine what you are enduring. What a stunning sunrise. I took a couple of photos of our sunrise yesterday. The sky looked like it was on fire. I'll try to pop them up later.

From one extreme to the other -- you have the heat and we have the bitter cold. Want to arrange a swap?

The term "sparrow fart" just gives me the giggles. Didn't know what you meant at first! Loved seeing your photos. Reminds me that summer will eventually come this way too...especially since we had been in single degrees farenheit!

Leanne said...

Thanks for taking me back to Brolga. I LOVE the 4th pic down. It has been hot down here also but today is much cooler a welcome break. Do you not like thunderstorms?

Thank you so much for you're sweet worths! You're pictures and story's bring me back to the first summer 4 years ago, When I started living in VA, USA. Same kind of weather, same beautiful early morningviews and same blossems in our garden....back in the Netherlands things are so different... but I was lucky to have the experients to live in both worlds. Take care!
